I have an issue related to depriciation posting for one specific asset.
The original asset was created in July 2010 with useful life of 5 years. There was post capitalisation in July 2013.
Now the useful life of the asset ended in August 2015 and SAP posted the remaining net book value as depriciation for post capitalisation amount also and net book value is zero.
Further, the system write up the amount in December 2015 . The planned amount writeup is after deducting depriciatrion for ther period of Aug to Dec 2015 as if nothing has happened.
My questions / queries are:
1)Why the system did not recognise the post capitalisation from 2013 and adjusted depriciation accordingly for remaining life of the asset
2)Why does the system plans to do a write up again in December 2015 which results in monthly depriciation for the Period August to Deember 2015 as if nothing happened?
3) Even if it is right why did the budget depriciation run in SAP did not come to the same conclusion.
Looking forward for your support to understand this issue and changes if any need to be done in system.
